This chapter provides an introduction to Economics.  I answers questions such as: What is Economics? Is Economics a human science? What is the central economic problem?  These pages provides a link page to sub-pages, containing each of the units for Unit 1 of the new curriculum. This unit is an introduction to Economics. It starts by looking at the fundamental economic problem of scarcity and develops this by considering how scarcity leads to choice and opportunity cost.

Unit 1.2: How do economists approach the world?

This chapter covers the way economists look at the world. It explores the methodology used by economists and how this method differs from natural sciences.
