Introduction

An introduction to the IB Diploma Programme in the form of stand alone professional development sessions on key elements of the programme that you can lead with your faculty. Whilst they can be used at any time in the implementation of the Diploma Programme they are especially useful to facilitate training to introduce staff and stakeholder groups to the programme as a Candidate School or as a form of review and self-reflection when carrying out the 5-year evaluation.

They address the IB Mission  and IB Learner Profile. The distinctive concept of International Mindedness  is explored in some depth, useful for both whole school and subject group reflection. There are introductions to all elements of The Core ( Theory of Knowledge, Creativity, Activity, Service and the Extended Essay.
